PTEC (Psychology Training and Evaluation Center ) provides essential mental and behavioral health services at low-to-no cost for children and families in North Mississippi.

Specializing in the assessment and diagnosis of developmental, neurocognitive, and psychological conditions, we hope to empower families with the guidance they need for effective treatment planning. PTEC is invested in the future of mental health care by training, mentoring, and providing supervision to the next generation of providers

Our Services

    • Our clinic specializes in comprehensive, evidence-based assessments to identify developmental, neurocognitive, and psychological conditions. Under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Joshua Fulwiler, our providers conduct thorough evaluations and provide detailed reports to guide interdisciplinary treatment planning.

    • We also offer specialized testing for academic skills, helping families understand their children’s school-related needs. These assessments, which are not typically covered by insurance, can be crucial for obtaining formal school support plans and ensuring access to appropriate academic interventions.

  • PTEC provides individual and group therapy focused on specific, short-term, goal-based approaches. Our providers are trained in evidence-based methods to address a wide range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

  • As the first clinic in the region to offer a dedicated family navigator, PTEC provides unique support to families facing challenges related to their children’s behavioral, emotional, or academic needs. Our navigator helps families access resources, coordinate care, and navigate the complexities of mental health and educational systems.
